We currently offer five fun parties for children – fabric printing, fabric découpage, button and paper crafts, embroidery and appliqué, and sock puppet making. The package 1 party is purely making; you can choose to have an additional hour for package 2 where we serve sweet afternoon tea cakes and play a range of party games. The parties can be held at a local venue (additional hire charge applies), or we can come to you! Drinks are provided.

In this workshop, we let the children loose with our fabric supplies! We have gorgeous textiles in all colours, so each child is bound to make something unique and beautiful. You can choose from picture frames, boxes, pendant hearts or letters (we need minimum 2 weeks notice for letters).
BUTTON & PAPER CRAFTS
In the button and paper craft class, the children will learn how to create a beautiful canvas picture with buttons and paper. The children will first sketch an idea for their picture, with lots of help from us and our inspiration board. We will then teach the children how to arrange the paper discs, buttons and sequins to create a design. We also hold a nature inspired version of this party at Foundry Wood where we take the children into the woods to find leaves and twigs to incorporate in their picture.

Sophie teaches the children how to use block printing to style your very own pencil case to take home. We use high quality, authentic print blocks sourced in India, which create a beautiful, intricate and detailed finish. The inks are pigment dyes, so you will need to wear old clothes or an apron (provided)! There will be fabric pens to add extra details, and if time allows, we have a range of beads, sequins and trimmings to embellish your case. Fancy something different? You can upgrade from the pencil case to a tote bag, t-shirt (extra £3 per person) or your own suggestion. Just drop us an email to discuss it further. This party can be held at Foundry Wood where we take the children into the woods to find leaves which they can use to print nature themed designs.

With all the materials and a handful of patience, learn to hand-sew a beautiful keyring charm,which you can show off however you choose! Sophie will introduce you to some key hand stitches and sewing assembly techniques. You will have the choice of a wide range of colours to work with, and plenty of embellishments. Each set of charms has been designed especially by Makery Mill, with each set incorporating some different methods, depending on your familiarity with hand-sewing. You will make one charm during the class to take away with you.

During this party, the children will design and make their very own puppet. It can be your favourite animal, or a fantasy creature. You can choose a suitable sock from our collection, or your can bring along your favourite old sock to give it a lease of new life. We will help you work out how to bring your idea to life – giving the sock the right shape, and all the fancy accessories it might need.
